HLR Architects Principal, David Hensley

David W. Hensley

AIA, LEED AP BD+C

During his 25 years of experience, David Hensley has worked on projects ranging from transit-oriented design, urban infill housing, mixed-use communities, and college campuses. His work is recognized through more than a dozen awards from organizations, including the National Association of Home Builders and the American Institute of Architects. He focuses on integrating sustainable elements into all the firm’s designs.

David received his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University and a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the North Texas Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council.

HLR Architects Principal, Robert Lamkin

Robert W. Lamkin

AIA, NCARB

With over 38 years of experience, Robert Lamkin brings a wealth of knowledge to his role at Hensley Lamkin Rachel, Inc. He leads the firm in the areas of proposals, contracts, finance, and administration. Additionally, Robert assists with planning, design development, consultant coordination, and quality control. 

Robert received his undergraduate and Master of Architecture degrees from the University of Michigan.

HLR Architects Principal, Bruce Rachel

Bruce W. Rachel

AIA, NCARB

In Bruce Rachel’s role as Principal in Charge of Operations at HLR, he is primarily responsible for overseeing the production and quality of construction document systems. His role also includes the direction and guidance of the codes and standards, quality control, and construction administration teams, as well as the production of specifications for projects in the firm. 

Bruce received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Texas Tech University.
